PDRF is currently researching simplified probe based methods for genotyping in microbial resistance. Since drug resistance is often controlled by multiple loci, there is a need for methods that can detect multiple SNPs in a single reaction. Current research will lead to an increased ability to multiplex real genotyping assays in a homogenous single tube system.
